E.C.V.M.M.

Our Story

E.C.V.M.M. opened its door in 2004.  Creating a museum to honor local Military Veterans was the dream of the late Joel Bourne, who along with other veterans and individuals in Edgecombe County brought the dream to reality. Originally the museum was located in a small space on Main Street in Tarboro, North Carolina but it quickly outgrew that location. After changing homes several times the museum found its permanent home at 106 West Church Street.  The museum’s collection and archives have grown far beyond the original vision for the museum and has become a true legacy for Edgecombe County.

**Currently we are located at 509  Trade Street while we renovate our Church street location**

Mission Statement

The Edgecombe County Veterans’ Military Museum mission is to preserve the heritage of the Veterans of Edgecombe County, for them as well as their prosperity. They served their country, let’s preserve their memory.
